BY DONATING YOUR CAR TO THE SAG-AFTRA FOUNDATION, which was founded in 1985 to support union 
artists, you are helping them to provide financial and health assistance, and free educational programs to SAG-AFTRA and Actors Equity union members. In addition it's important to know, the Foundation works to promote and advance children’s literacy in communities worldwide. The Foundation relies solely on support from grants, sponsorships, fundraisers and individual contributions to maintain our programs and create new ones. A car donation will greatly help sustain their much ongoing programs.
Every year, the Foundation provides $1.2 million in emergency financial and medical assistance to SAG-AFTRA artists and their dependents. The Foundation offers more than 900 free career-building workshops, seminars and panels to more than 42,000 SAG-AFTRA and Actors Equity members. The Foundation’s video gallery [sagaftra.foundation/video-gallery] features over 400 educational and inspirational videos along with a live stream channel accessible to all performers and entertainment enthusiasts worldwide.
The Foundation operates offices, voiceover labs and computer labs in Los Angeles and New York along with a screening room in Los Angeles and the brand new Robin Williams Center for Entertainment and Media screening room in New York.
Hundreds of SAG-AFTRA members volunteer as BookPALS (Performing Artists for Literacy in Schools) to read to children in Title-I schools, every month. The Foundation’s children’s literacy program Storyline Online® (storylineonline.net) is a free online resource for children, teachers and parents, and receives more than 13 million views per month worldwide.
